It’s no secret: Big Pharma faces big challenges. The industry could lose tens of billions in sales to generics over the next five years as patented drugs lose protected status. Pharmaceutical firms are fighting back by pumping record dollars into R&D, yet companies only won FDA approval last year for 21 new drugs. To increase their odds of success, global Pharma giants are looking for ever-better ways to revitalize their pipelines by developing novel and innovative programs, partnerships, and approaches to fostering innovation. As the world’s leading center of life sciences innovation, Boston is the hub of much of this activity. This forum will bring together pharmaceutical industry leaders, biotech executives, and startup entrepreneurs to highlight what’s happening on the front lines of innovation.
